Second look:

Makeup- same eyes(brows) look, a dark cranberry/black lip, peach cheeks, and bronzer.
Hair- a black bobbed wig
Outfit- an old school yellow and black dress

Third look:

Thinking

So I have been wondering why I haven't gotten my CD of photos that I've worked with Edward out in NYC a few months ago. I just got a call from him saying that the CD he sent out has been shipped back to him, apparently he wrote down an invalid address. Luckily we fixed the boo boo and it will be shipped my way. I feel like I have been waiting forever to receive it.

Also, I pulled this photo and have been wanting to do a soft makeup look like this for a while now. Pastel colors, very pale, and angelic. I have been loving the finger wave look with bobby pins. I'm thinking of working a shoot, having two models look like this, one with yellows and blues, while the other with light pinks and golds. Fabbbb

yesterdays shoot

I worked a women censorship photo-shoot out in Ft. Lauderdale yesterday and it came out looking awesome. I worked with Stephanie Rae and a model she knew. I can't wait to get the photos! The look consisted of a black strip on the eyes and body paint on the models chest ( a strip). Originally Stephanie wanted the models hair slicked back but I thought we should punk rock the models hair and created a big teased mohawk look with a braid in each side. Here are some pics i took on my phone!

Photographer Contract

I will be getting together with more photographers, I have many new ideas, so if you are a photographer and need some makeup work done email me at pkvogue@aol.com

I will start making a little contract saying that within 3 months of working together or so I must get my pictures. It's more of a promise contract because I have been laid off many times. I have yet to get some of the work I have worked, and I am fed up with it. Just letting my clients know that I will be having one!

Always, P

The Artist Summit

You bet I bought my ticket!
I'm not sure why The Makeup Show Miami isn't happening this year, but The Artist Summit Miami is basically the same thing with a different title. For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, The two are huge Makeup shows held in Miami (Miami Convention Center to be exact) once a year. Major artists, makeup companies, and varieties of different products will be at the event. Its every MUA dream to g0 to a show like this. So excited!
If you are an artist and need to purchase your ticket go on http://theartistsummit.com/

I have to say, my favorite part about this event are the body paintings and products=]
I might buy a ton of air brush paint for my kit. Who knows!

Fashion books

My sister got me two amazing fashion books, which made me realize that every fashionista should have at least one as a fashion guide.

One of the books I have is called The Fashion Book and the other is called Fashion Now 2.  They have the top designers, photographers, and artists in both books. Great read on old and modern fashion. Discover some artists you've never heard of, or even heard of but never really took the time to notice them. My goal is to finish reading both books and to gain more knowledge of the fashion world.

*They sell these books at your local book store and even Urban Outfitters.

Jimmy Choo with H&M? Sex and the City 2

Yes that's right! Jimmy Choo is partnering with H&M with shoes and accessories coming out this November 12 in selective H&M stores. We all wish to afford Jimmy Choo shoes, now is our chance to spend an affordable amount on them! Not only will the line include shoes but purses, jewelry, and some evening wear. Don't jump out your seats men, they have some fabulous accessories and shoes for you all too;)

Let's talk Sex..and the city that is. Some items from the line may be worn in the Sex and the city 2 movie. We know our fashion gals will be proudly supporting this ! Our inner Carrie Bradshaw comes out!
P.S. They started filming the movie today! We all can't wait to see what they are wearing, who they are dating, and what the girls have in store for us!

Juergen Teller

Most people know him as the photographer for most Marc Jacobs ads. He is such an amazing photographer. I like that his photos stand out in the washed out light of the camera. The photos come out really bright yet soft. Juergen Teller is one of the few top photographers left who does not "retouch" his photographs. He came out with a book of all his images for Marc Jacobs which came out this summer. The book is $120 and has all the top ads he's worked for Marc Jacobs with many top models.
